Sovan Pramanik

Sovan Pramanik is a PhD scholar in Biochemical Engineering at IIT (BHU), Varanasi. He completed his master’s degree in Microbiology as a university gold medalist and qualified for the ICMR-JRF examination with an All India Rank of 74. Sovan's interest in research developed through his work with microbes. This led him to explore how microorganisms cause disease and how the immune system responds to them. He is now continuing this interest through his work in biochemical engineering, using engineering-based methods to study biological and medical problems. Sovan's main areas of interest are disease biology, immunology, host–microbe interactions, and the development of practical solutions for health-related problems. He is especially interested in research that connects basic biological understanding with applications that can eventually benefit patients.
